COMING 2015... Places and Faces in New York State: Origins, Histories and Meanings
This book will include over 2000 names throughout the state- 62 counties, some 930 towns, every village, countless hamlets and more. Hundreds of pictures (sketches of people or characters after whom a place is named) and innumerable maps showing the locations of each entry. The book is based on interviews with historians (town, village and county), old and new histories, librarians and other officials.
Characters in Mythology (revised 2001)
A collection of some 40 Greco-Roman creatures or personages sketched by the late Bettina B. Chapman, noted Syracuse artist. Each character has been researched to give the reader an understanding of its role in the lore of Greece and Rome.

A unique book which answers why there are so many historic or ancient communities in the Empire State. Some 300 names have been sited including: Aristotle, Athens, Bethlehem, Camillus, Carthage, Cuba, Homer, Ithaca, Jericho, Marcellus, Manilus, Rome, Syracuse, Ulysses, Utica, Virgil, etc. Illustrations (about 90) and hundreds of maps are found throughout the book.
